You reached the right place! Whether you're a high school student planning to apply to college or just starting college career, tuition cost is something that is on time of mind. Tuition is a huge factor when it comes to choosing a college - but hopefully, financial aid and scholarships can support the cost. That's why we created the list of Big Money Scholarships for College. We're talking about tens of thousands of dollars in free money!

1. The HACU Scholarship Program 2020-2021 // Organization: UNCF

Amount: Up to $5,000

Deadline: July 6, 2020

The HACU Scholarship Program has 5 scholarship opportunities for students who are currently attending a Hispanic Association of College University. Each scholarship has a different set of criteria, check out the details to apply here

2. Scholarship 4 Moms // Organization: Scholarship 4 moms

Amount: $10,000

Deadline: August 15th, 2020

Every quarter  Scholarship 4 Moms is giving away $10,000 for mothers wishing to go back or currently enrolled in college. 

3. Stuck at Prom Scholarship // Organization: Duct Tape

Amount: Up to $10,000

Deadline: July 21, 2020

Create and wear your unique original promwear  Duck Brand duct tape or crafting tape. There are two categories - Dress and Tux. Submit your photo this prom season!  

4. College Board Opportunity Scholarships for Class of 2021 // Organization: College Board

Amount: Up to $40,000

Deadline: February 28, 2021

Complete the College Board Opportunity Scholarship journey taking you through building a college list, SAT practice, and more. 

5. Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program // Organization: Amazon

Amount: $10,000

Deadline: Application opens in November 2021

The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship program assists high school seniors who have a passion for computer science or related fields, and have completed the AP computer science course. Winners of the award will receive a $10,000 scholarship and paid summer internship at Amazon. The 2021 program will begin accepting applications beginning in November 2020.

6. Dell Scholars Program // Organization: Dell

Amount: $20,000

Deadline: December 10th, 2020

The Dell Scholars Program is designed to provide a support system for the challenges many students face while pursuing a degree. 500 Dell Scholars are selected each year to receive a $20,000 scholarship and non-monetary support. The scholarship criteria include demonstrating a need for financial assistance, have participated in a program-approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12, and more. 7. Google Scholarships // Organization: Google

Amount: Up to $10,000

Deadline: Varies

This past year Google has hosted a few scholarships which include the Generation Google Scholarship, Google Lime Scholarship, and more. The 2020 Google Scholarship deadlines have passed, new Google Scholarships will be opening in Fall 2020.

8. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes // Organization: Foot Locker

Amount: $20,000

Deadline: Opens Fall of 2020

The Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program celebrates athletes that have grown into strong leaders at their schools and communities in addition to their sport. The 2021 program will open in October 2020.

9. Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation // Organization: Coca-Cola

Amount: $20,000

Deadline: Opens up August 2020

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. The 2021 program will sometime this summer with an October 31, 2020 deadline. 

10. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship // Organization: Jack Kent Cooke

Amount: Up to $40,000

Deadline: Opens Fall 2020

Coming from a low-income family can be hard. That’s why the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship gives up-to $40,000 to each of its scholars. In order to apply for this scholarship, you have to demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. In addition to that, you have to fill out several eligibility questions, submit a few short essays that answer specific prompts, and declare your college plans and intended major. That sounds like a lot, and it is. But $40,000 per year practically covers the tuition of most colleges and it’s entirely worth it.

11. Davidson Fellow Scholarship // Organization: Davidson Institute

Amount: Up to $50,000

Deadline: February 10th, 2021

Are you extraordinary? If so, the Davidson Fellow Scholarship is interested in you. Since its inception, the Davidson Fellow Scholarship has given out $7.4 million in scholarship money to students under the age of 18 who show extraordinary accomplishments in a particular field, whether it’s science, math, music, literature, or technology. Every year, they select three winners who qualify to win $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 for first, second, and third prize selections respectively.

12. McDonald's HACER National Scholarship // Organization: McDonald's

Amount: $100,000 ($25,000 over 4 years)

Deadline: Opens Fall 2020

Your generation is making a difference in the world, and McDonald's is looking to help students of Hispanic descent be part of that change. McDonald's is offering $100,000 in scholarships to high school seniors of Hispanic descent and showcase academic achievements, leadership, community involvement, financial need, and more! 

13. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program // Organization: GE-Reagan Foundation

Amount: $10,000

Deadline: Opens Fall 2020

Honoring the legacy and character of our nation’s 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education. This scholarship is also renewable for up to 3 years, meaning you can get a total of $40,000 in scholarships and continued leadership development support.

14. The National Scholarship (For DREAMers) // Organization: TheDream.Us

Amount: $29,000 + a $1,000 Annual Stipend

Deadline:February 27th, 2020 ENDED

We think of our National Scholarship as the “Pell Grant” for highly motivated DREAMers with significant, unmet financial need. While we consider your GPA and test scores, we place great emphasis on your demonstrated commitment to community service and your ability to overcome the barriers and challenges that DREAMers face each and every day.

15. Jackie Robinson Scholarship // Organization: Jackie Robinson Foundation

Deadline: February 1st, 2020 ENDED

The Jackie Robinson Scholarship provides up to $30,000 to selected winners. The great thing about this scholarship is that even if you receive financial aid, you will still receive this money from the Jackie Robinson Foundation. 

16. Comcast NBC Universal UNCF HBCU Scholarship // Organization: UNCF

Amount: Up to $5,000

Deadline: June 16, 2020 ENDED

Comcast NBCUniversal/UNCF scholarship program supports sophomores and juniors attending an HBCU during the fall of 2020. Candidates can major in any field of study but must have a desired interest in entertainment and media, and a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher. 

17. Nissan Scholarship Program // Organization: UNCF

Amount: $10,000 ($2,500 / 4 years)

Deadline: June 16, 2020 ENDED

The UNCF/Nissan Scholarship supports incoming college freshman enrolled at any Historically Black College or University (HBCU) commencing Fall 2020. To apply, complete a 2-page essay describing your community service and how receiving this scholarship will support your personal goals.

18. Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the Walmart Foundation // Organization: Thurgood Marshall College Fund

Amount: $6,200

Deadline:June 8, 2020 ENDED

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), and the Walmart Foundation are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding first-generation students attending one of TMCF 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) or a Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Eligibility includes being a first-generation college student, graduating high school for 2019-20 school year, a member of a TMCF member-school, and more. See the details here

19. Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway // Organization: Dr. Pepper

Amount: Up to $100,000

Deadline: October 17th, 2019 ENDED

Dr. Pepper is awarding over $1,000,000 in scholarships to help students reach their biggest goals. Students will be asked to describe their goals and submit a video. This scholarship will open in mid-August.

20. Taco Bell Live Más Scholarship // Organization: Taco Bell Foundation

Amount: Up to $25,000

Deadline:January 23rd, 2020 ENDED

The Live Más Scholarship is not based on your grades or how well you play sports. Taco Bell Foundation is looking for the next generation of innovators and creators. The 2020 scholarships have been awarded, please visit their website to sign up for updates on the next round of the scholarship.
