Don’t let deadlines slip by.
If you’re worried you don’t know how to complete a task, or won’t finish in time, immediately let your co-workers and supervisors know. They’ll help come up with a plan.
Use email
If asking for help in-person makes you feel awkward or nervous, email your supervisor to ask for a meeting to discuss the challenges you’re having. Keep it formal. Here's how to send a professional email.
Ask for clarification.
If you don’t understand how to complete a task, but try to do it anyway, you’ll likely end up in a worse place than when you started. Don’t be afraid to ask your boss to walk you through the task again.
Take notes!
Whenever you ask for help, write down the information you’re getting so you don’t have to ask twice!
