What are diversity fly-in programs?

Diversity fly-in programs make intentional space for low-income, first-generation, and minority high school students to explore their college options. These programs offer both prospective and admitted students all-expenses-paid tours of their campuses to get a feel for the college experience. They’re typically held in the spring and summer of a student's junior year or in the fall of their senior year.

What’s their purpose?

These programs offer many things to prospective students! On a college trip through a diversity fly-in program, students can learn more about a school’s student experience, ask questions to current students and faculty, explore majors, and gain a deeper understanding of what they do and don’t want from the college they attend.

Who can apply?

While eligibility requirements will vary by school and program, they are usually designed primarily for first-generation, low-income, and minority students.
