Need a Seasonal Job in 2022? Here’s Who’s Hiring This Holiday Season

Companies hire workers all year round, but some have tons of holiday seasonal jobs this coming winter. We've compiled some of the largest companies hiring all across the country. Don't forget that you can always use our JobLaunch tool to find entry-level jobs in your neighborhood also be sure to check out your local employers, especially retail employers at the malls, who are likely hiring for the holidays, too! 


United States Postal Service (USPS)

The Postal Service (and all delivery companies) is on a hiring spree for full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees! With more things going through the mail than ever, this is a great opportunity to find a job in most all communities across the country. Most common jobs would be processing clerks and distribution associates - great jobs if you're an organized person! 



From customer service roles, to online order fulfillment, Targethas more than 100,000 seasonal positions available. They, specifically, are looking for part-time workers! What’s great is that Target's hourly wage to $15/hour, and may be higher in select cities and locations and your first interview will always be virtual and on your own time. In addition to competitive pay, seasonal employees will receive:

  • 10% employee discount (plus an extra 20% discount on wellness items)
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Free mental health support
  • Free virtual doctor visits


Gap Inc.

Gap Inc., the parent company of Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic, is hiring for positions in their stores, distribution centers, and customer service centers. The application takes less than 3 minutes to complete. Seasonal employees will receive perks as well, such as:

  • 50% discount for all of their brands, 30% of outlet stores
  • Competitive pay
  • Unique wellness options, such as on-site flu shots and back-up child care and daycare service.



Kohl's is hiring for seasonal jobs across the country this holiday season for jobs in stores and in warehouses. Employees at Kohl's get paid weekly (rather than bi-weekly), a 15-35% store discount, and specific discounts with partner companies (like movies and amusement parks). Amazon is hiring for tens of thousands during the holiday season. There are three specific roles they need to fill asap: (1) package sorter and loader (2) warehouse, (3) as a store shopper. If you are looking for a flexible schedule, fast-paced environment, and a competitive wage, check out their list of opportunities to find a position near you. Most of their starting wages are between $19-$22. You can also sign up for texts to get job notifications in your area. Depending on your job, you can also access tuition reimbursement for college. 

Best Buy

Best Buy is hiring part-time and full-time seasonal employees in their stores, distribution centers, and even for their Geek Squad! Some of the customer service positions (such as cashier and customer experience specialists) hire at 16 years old, but other positions may require you to be 18 years or older.



FedEx has a list of openings available for seasonal and permanent positions. FedEx operates many businesses - shipping/receiving, warehouses, and retail shops for printing - so there are many options to choose from. Be sure to filter by your geography! If you have an interest in customer service or supply chain management (a great career path), below are a few jobs at FedEx you should look into. Most positions will start at $15/hr and you must be 18 or older to apply.

  • Retail Customer Service Associate
  • Package Recovery Agent
  • Package handler
  • Warehouse Worker



United Parcel Services (UPS) has nearly 5,000+ seasonal warehouse, customer service, and package handler jobs to fill. If you are 17+ you can work as a package handler and customer service representative. If you are 21 years old and have a driver’s license, you can apply to be a delivery driver. In addition to seasonal (temporary) roles, there are permanent roles as well. You can also sign up to receive email alerts for jobs in your area.



Walmart is almost always hiring and they own Sam's Club so be sure to look at their jobs this holiday season, too! The average wage for these jobs is $20.37/hour. As the holidays get closer, Walmart will often also have incentives to join their team. Additionally, there may be an opportunity to convert to a permanent employee at the end of the holiday season.


Dick's Sporting Goods

Dick's Sporting Goods, which also owns and operates a few other companies such as Field & Stream, is one of the largest sporting goods retailers in the country and they are hiring for positions in their warehouses and stores across the country. They offer flexible schedules and a 25% discount to employees!
