Are You Taking The Right Number Of Credits For You?

Last updated February 21, 2020

Succeeding in college requires time management skills. Taking 12, 15, or 19 credits may look good on paper, but have you factored in your work schedule, or other time commitments? The difficulty of the class can also factor into the right number of credits to be taking.

When you're registering for classes remember: the minimum requirements to get full financial aid, your different time commitments, the level of effort you'll need to get a successful grade, and your major/graduation requirements. Plan to meet with your academic advisor to review your schedule.
