This scholarship is open to U.S. citizens and residents 14 years or older. Applicants must submit a maximum 250-word essay answering the following prompt: "May is the fifth month of the year. This scholarship is available to full time college undergraduate students across any field of study. Must write a 500 word essay on First Generation status (if applicable), plan for completing your undergraduate degree, and how dance has impacted your life. This scholarship is available for students in the United States who are currently enrolled in a University or High School, and have plans to attend a University. The scholarship is meant to help a deserving student with scholarship funding who wishes to start their own business in the future.
Fight for Freedom Scholarship // J. Ryan Brown Law

Graduating high school seniors and college students are eligible for this scholarship. To be considered, applicants must write a 700-1,000 word-essay to answer the following prompt: "Share with us a bit of legislation or regulation that has been a recent controversial topic. Explain why you feel this piece of legislation or law should either be abolished or kept in place. We want to hear how this piece of legislation has personally impacted you."
Dennis Etchison Young Writers Scholarship // Horror Writers Association

This award is available to high school students that are interested in writing horror and dark fiction.
