Top California Scholarships You Need to Know About

Five California scholarships we think you should know about and where to find more. Also, don't forget to check out our easy scholarship list!
Scholarships are a great way to pay for college. If you are going to college in California, here are a couple of California Scholarships we think are great:
Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) – Scholarship amounts vary and depend on your family’s income (under $171,000/year). Also available at California State University.
Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan – Scholarship amounts vary and depend on your family’s income (under $80,000/year).
These two scholarships require you to be a new, transfer, or returning undergraduate at the University of California (UC), a California resident/AB 540 status, and file a FAFSA/California Dream Act by March 2nd.
California State University (CSU) scholarships:
CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement – 20 scholarships in the amount of $6,000. You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, financial need and have overcome adversity.
Nathaniel R. and Valerie Dumont Scholarship – 8 scholarships in the amount of $4,000 for students attending these CSU campuses: Dominguez Hills, Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Northridge. Strong consideration for visually impaired students with a minimum GPA of 2.8 and financial need.
