35 Unique High School Club Ideas to Start at Your School

Last updated September 26, 2020

Clubs and organizations in high school are awesome because they give you opportunities to explore your passions, connect with others who have similar interests, and have fun! If your high school doesn’t have a club or organization that you’re interested in, the best thing to do is start your own. Get creative and think outside of the box.

We understand during the COVID pandemic meeting in person may not be possible, but continue to connect virtually with your clubs using Zoom or Google meet. Check out, " How to Stay Connected With a Club or Organization During Distance Learning"

High school clubs and extracurricular activities typically fall in one of three categories:

  • Subject Area – Clubs that focus on specific academic subjects.
  • Hobby Clubs – Clubs that focus on specific hobbies or interests
  • Community Service – Clubs that focus on making an impact in the community.
