As college students across the world make huge transitions to online learning, practicing social distancing, and more than likely, hunkering down at home - it’s important to take steps to preserve your mental health and well-being.

Change creates stress. There’s no side-stepping that. But stress is a normal and even necessary part of life - and there are resources out there that can help you work through it. This moment will pass, but in the mean-time, here’s a list of mental health resources available to help you manage through the stress and acclimate to difficult changes.

Real.

A new therapy startup called Real is offering a month of free online group sessions as well as one-on-one appointments.

Talkspace.com

Headspace

This high-quality meditation app is offering free access to its Weathering the Storm section, workplace toolkit, guided meditations, and its exercises for employers and employees

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

Check with your college’s counseling/mental health center

While most campuses have effectively shut down - many college’s mental health centers are remaining open and have moved their operations online. This is important because, as a student, this resource is freely available to you - check with your college’s mental health center to see what resources and services they’re offering!
