You reached the right place! Whether you're a high school student planning to apply to college or just starting college career, tuition cost is something that is on time of mind. Tuition is a huge factor when it comes to choosing a college - but hopefully, financial aid and scholarships can support the cost. That's why we created the list of Big Money Scholarships for College. We're talking about tens of thousands of dollars in free money!

Some scholarships listed below have passed, please do bookmark this page to check back when they open again. 

1. College Board Opportunity Scholarships for Class of 2021 // Organization: College Board

Amount: Up to $40,000

Deadline: February 28, 2021

Complete the  College Board Opportunity Scholarship journey taking you through building a college list, SAT practice, and more. 

2. Stuck at Prom Scholarship // Organization: Duct Tape

Amount: Up to $10,000

Deadline: July 21, 2020

Create and wear your unique original promwear  Duck Brand duct tape or crafting tape. There are two categories - Dress and Tux. Submit your photo this prom season!  

3. Lil Nas X Scholarship // Organization:

Amount: $10,000

Deadline: May 15th, 2020

4. The National Scholarship (For DREAMers) // Organization: TheDream.Us

Amount: $29,000 + a $1,000 annual stipend

Deadline: February 27th, 2020 *Ended* 

We think of our National Scholarship as the “Pell Grant” for highly motivated DREAMers with significant, unmet financial need. While we consider your GPA and test scores, we place great emphasis on your demonstrated commitment to community service and your ability to overcome the barriers and challenges that DREAMers face each and every day.

5. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship // Organization: Jack Kent Cooke

Deadline: March 23, 2020 *Ended*

Coming from a low-income family can be hard. That’s why the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship gives up-to $40,000 to each of its scholars. In order to apply for this scholarship, you have to demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. In addition to that, you have to fill out several eligibility questions, submit a few short essays that answer specific prompts, and declare your college plans and intended major. That sounds like a lot, and it is. But $40,000 per year practically covers the tuition of most colleges and it’s entirely worth it.

6. Davidson Fellow Scholarship // Organization: Davidson Institute

Deadline: February 12, 2020 *Ended*

Are you extraordinary? If so, the Davidson Fellow Scholarship is interested in you. Since its inception, the Davidson Fellow Scholarship has given out $7.4 million in scholarship money to students under the age of 18 who show extraordinary accomplishments in a particular field, whether it’s science, math, music, literature, or technology. Every year, they select three winners who qualify to win $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 for first, second, and third prize selections respectively.

7. Jackie Robinson Scholarship // Organization: Jackie Robinson Foundation

Deadline: February 1st, 2020 *Ended*

The Jackie Robinson Scholarship provides up to $30,000 to selected winners. The great thing about this scholarship is that even if you receive financial aid, you will still receive this money from the Jackie Robinson Foundation. 

8. Costco Scholarship // Organization: Costco

Details: Link

If you're a student who is looking to go to the University of Washington or Seattle University, then the Costco Scholarship is a great opportunity for you. The Costco Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to highly qualified underrepresented minority students who plan to attend Seattle University or the University of Washington.

9. Bezos Scholarships Program // Organization: Bezos Foundation

Deadline: January 31st, 2020 *Ended* 

The Bezos Scholars Program application opens October 21, 2019, and closes at midnight Friday, January 31, 2020. Don’t wait until the last minute to apply! Applicants need time and input from others in order to submit a competitive, thoughtful application.

The application is open to U.S. students who are currently high school juniors attending a public high school with a 30% or greater free and reduced lunch rate. We encourage talented, driven, smart, and compassionate young people to apply.

10. Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway // Organization: Dr. Pepper

Dr. Pepper is awarding over $1,000,000 in scholarships to help students reach their biggest goals. Students will be asked to describe their goals and submit a video. This  scholarship will open in mid-August.

11. Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship Program // Organization: Amazon

The  Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship program assists high school seniors who have a passion for computer science or related fields, and have completed the AP computer science course. Winners of the award will receive a $10,000 scholarship and paid summer internship at Amazon. The 2021 program will begin accepting applications beginning in November 2020. 

12. Dell Scholars Program // Organization: Dell 

The Dell Scholars Program is designed to provide a support system for the challenges many students face while pursuing a degree. 500 Dell Scholars are selected each year to receive a $20,000 scholarship and non-monetary support. The scholarship criteria include demonstrating a need for financial assistance, have participated in a program-approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12, and more. 13. Taco Bell Live Más Scholarship // Organization: Taco Bell Foundation

The Live Más Scholarship is not based on your grades or how well you play sports. Taco Bell Foundation is looking for the next generation of innovators and creators. The 2020 scholarships have been awarded, please visit their website to sign up for updates on the next round of the scholarship.

14. Google Scholarships // Organization: Google

This past year Google has hosted a few scholarships which include the Generation Google Scholarship, Google Lime Scholarship, and more. The 2020 Google Scholarship deadlines have passed, new Google Scholarships will be opening in Fall 2020. 

15. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes // Organization: Foot Locker

The Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program celebrates athletes that have grown into strong leaders at their schools and communities in addition to their sport. The 2021 program will open in October 2020.
