50+ Scholarships For DACA Students

If you're an undocumented or DACA student, finding financial aid for college can be tricky. Undocumented students do not qualify for federal aid, and only a handful of states offer state grants to undocumented students.

There are a number of scholarships for undocumented students out there, however. Here's our list of over 50+ scholarships for DACA students.

1. The Dream.US Opportunity Scholarship is for first-time college students and is for up to $80,000 to cover tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals for a bachelor’s degree. The Class of 2020 deadline has passed. We recommend the Class of 2021 to signup for their email notifications to stay updated.

2. The Dream.US National Scholarship is for high school or first-time college students and community college graduates. Students can earn up to $14,500 for an associate's degree and $29,000 for a bachelor’s degree. The Class of 2020 deadline has passed. We recommend the Class of 2021 to signup for their email notifications to stay updated.

3. Ted Rollins Eco Scholarship offers a $1,000 scholarship twice each year to one talented student who is majoring in a field related to sustainability. This money may be used to pay for tuition, books or living expenses.

4. Cooke College Scholarship Program offers a scholarship each year to students who show financial need and hope to attend some of the nation's best colleges.

Deadline: November 18th, 2021

5. The $1,000 Car Review Essay Scholarship is exactly what it sounds like. Write a car review in 1,250 to 1,500 words and be entered in for a chance to be awarded with a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is open only to Hispanic and Latin community students, and ten winners will be selected.

6. The Hispanic Education Endowment Fund aims to help enhance Hispanic youths' educational opportunities and to improve students’ educational expectations in the Orange County area. They hope to help Hispanic students overcome financial barriers and work towards a higher education.

7. Pursuit of Excellence Scholarship offers scholarships of $501-$6000 to students from the South Bay Area, CA.

Deadline: February 28th, 2022

8. Point Foundation Scholarship offers scholarships to seniors in high school enrolling in a U.S. 4-year college. Must identify as LGBTQ+. Community college students, trade students or online programs do not qualify.

Deadline: January 18th, 2022

9. Scholarships 360 wants to make college more affordable and their No-Essay Scholarship is open. This scholarship is open to all students and one will be awarded $1,000.

10. The Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship offers scholarships of $20,000 to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities.

11. RTDNF Journalism Scholarships offers scholarships to undergraduate students pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism.

Deadline: January 12th, 2022

12. The Peninsula College Fund Program offers scholarships of $3000/year and mentoring to low-income, first-generation students from the Bay Area, CA.

Deadline: February 11th, 2022

13. Kennedy Memorial King Scholarship offers scholarships of $2501-$5000 to minority students from Diablo Valley, Contra Costa, or Los Medanos Colleges.

Deadline: February 4th, 2022

14. Society of Exploration Geophysicists offers scholarships of up to $10,000 to students interested in pursuing an education in geophysics and related geo-sciences.

Deadline: March 1st, 2022

15. The Ascend Fund NY offers scholarships of $10,000 or more and mentorship to students in New York City, regardless of their background or citizenship.

Deadline: February 4th, 2022

16. California Dream Act Scholarships offers varies. Scholarship is open to incoming and current college students who attended a California high school for a minimum of three years and will enroll in an accredited California college or university. Applicant must be a non-resident applying under AB 540 and AB 131.

17. The Martin Family Foundation Honors Scholarship Program enables Washington State Community College students of exceptional ability and outstanding achievement to complete their baccalaureate degrees at the University of Washington in Seattle. Martin Honors Scholars are encouraged to join departmental honors programs at UW, if available. The scholarship awards up to $12,000 per year for 3 years.

18. Mexican-American Dream Scholarships are for immigrants, children of immigrants, AB-540 or DACA students who are pursuing their dream of completing a higher education degree.

19. The Latino Scholarship Fund aims to advance the education and career opportunities of Latino students in the Fairfield County & New Milford area.

20. Los Hermanos De Stanford scholarship is for Latino/Latino students who are graduating from high school with plans to attend any two or four year institution of higher learning. Attending Stanford University is not a requirement. Applicants will be judged on their contributions to the guiding principles of Los Hermanos de Stanford: community service, academic excellence, and cultural awareness.

21. Becca's Closet Scholarships offers $1,000. Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors who have made an outstanding, documented contribution to his or her local community through the creation of or involvement in a Becca’s Closet chapter or Becca’s Closet organized through a supporting organization. Applicant must a U.S. Citizen, legal resident or DACA-eligible.

22. The California Association of Collectors Educational Scholarship offers scholarships of $1500-$2500 to high school juniors who will be attending any accredited public or private college, university, or trade school within 12 months of the scholarship award.

Deadline: Opens January 2022

23. eQuality Scholarship offers $6,000 scholarships for students who are residents of Northern or Central California (but may study elsewhere) who have demonstrated service in the LGBTQ+ community. Only 70 people applied for this scholarship in 2017!

Scholarships for DACA Students

24. The WIA Scholarship Foundation aims to provide scholarships to women interested in a career in the aerospace field to pursue higher education degrees in engineering, math or science. One or more awards of $2,000 will be given each year to a rising senior in college, to be applied during the upcoming academic year.

25. Questbridge National Match Scholarships offers $200,000 to academically advanced, low-income, high school seniors.

26. Golden Doors Scholars offers scholarships to those who are seeking to obtain an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field.

Deadline: October 4th, 2021 *Closed*

27. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute SHRM Scholar-Intern Program offers paid internships to students from Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Los Angeles, CA, and San Diego, CA who are interested in human services/resources careers. There are multiple internship opportunities available.

28. The Ronald Hedding Law Firm Scholarship will award one student a $2,500 scholarship to help further their education. Simply write a 500-word essay and send it in. Scholarships will be awarded based off of the essay and a statement of financial need.

29. The First in the Family Humanist Scholarship will award $5,000 to graduating high school seniors who live in the U.S. and identify as atheist, agnostic, humanist and/or secular, and are accepted into two or four-year colleges. The scholarship aims to help BIPOC youth with financial need.

30. The Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship offers scholarships to all current high school seniors, and college freshman, sophomores and juniors (ages 27 and younger) who demonstrate an active commitment to fighting HIV/AIDS and taking on roles of public service and leadership.

31. AORN Foundation Scholarships offers scholarships to students who are pursuing a career in nursing by pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree. This scholarship opens up on January 21st, 2021

32.FCHCC's Achieving the Dream Scholarship awards $20,000 total to 10 scholarship winners. To qualify, students must be of Hispanic/Latino descent, live in one of the First Coast five counties, have a 3.0 GPA, complete an application which includes two short essays, and send official transcripts for our selection committee to review and select the 10 recipients.

33. Gary Yoshimura Scholarship offers scholarships of $2400 to students pursuing an undergraduate education in public relations.

34. Latino Resources College Scholarship Fund offers $2,000 scholarships for students who demonstrate academic excellence, civic engagement, leadership and financial need reinforces Latino Resources mission of increasing Latino leadership through college completion and civic engagement.

35. Robin M. Urbanski Scholarship offers scholarships of $1000 to students who have mentored others and are studying public relations.

36. The Running of the Bulls Scholarship for Immigrants is awarding $1,000 to students who are immigrants and show leadership and will be attending a 4-year college or university in the US.

37. The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation Scholarship Program invites all California residents who show financial need to apply. Several winners will be awarded $5,000 that will go towards educational purposes.

38. The Arthur H. Goodman Scholarship provides financial assistance to dynamic, community-minded women and minority students transitioning from a community college in California or Arizona to four-year universities.

39. The Esperanza Education Fund offers up to $20,000 depending on financial need. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on qualities traditionally valued and demonstrated by the immigrant community: hard work, resourcefulness, perseverance in the face of adversity, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to one’s community.

40. The Davis Putter Scholarship Fund offers $8,000 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students.

41. Chicana/Latina Foundation Scholarship offers scholarships to Chicana/Latina women in Northern California. Opens January 1st, 2021

42. Education First Scholarship offers scholarships of up $5000 to students in EF Chapter cities including, Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, San Diego, San Francisco, Boston, Denver, and Portland.

43. Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Scholarships offers scholarships of up to $5000 to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM field with a minimum GPA of 2.75.

44. The BECA Foundation General Scholarship is made for latino students to encourage them to pursue a secondary education. If you are a senior at a San Diego high school and will be attending a college in the fall, try applying to this scholarship!

45. National Association of Hispanic Journalists Scholarships offer a number of scholarships ranging from $1,500-$5,000 to college-bound high school seniors, college undergraduates and graduate students pursuing careers in English or Spanish-language print, broadcast, digital or photojournalism who have at least a 3.0 GPA.

46. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund offers awards based on merit; amounts range from $500 to $5,000, based on relative need, among the Scholars selected.

47. Napa County Hispanic Network Scholarship offers scholarships of $501-$1000 to undocumented students from Napa County, CA.

48. Que Llueva Cafe Scholarship _ Chicano Organizing& Research in Education offers scholarships from $501- $1,000 for Chicano, Latino descent, Undocumented student, or someone who was born outside of the US but lives here without legal permission from the federal government.

49. The Anhelo Project Dream Scholarship offers scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students who demonstrate leadership, academic competitiveness, community involvement, and financial need. Undocumented and DACA recipients are encouraged to apply.

50. 826 Valencia Scholarships offers scholarships of $10,000 or more to first-generation students in the Bay Area/San Francisco, CA who have participated in 826 Valencia programming at some point during their schooling.

51. Immigrant Rising's Scholarship Fund offers $7,000 scholarships to low-income immigrant student who live and/or attend college in the San Francisco Bay Area.

52. CUNY BECAS scholarships up to $6,730 for current and prospective CUNY undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarship winners are selected based on academic achievement, financial need, and commitment to service in the Mexican and/or immigrant community.

53. BMI Student Composer Award offers students from countries in the Western Hemisphere who are studying music scholarships of $500-$5000.

54. PepsiCo Cesar Chavez Latino Scholarship offers $5,000 scholarship for an incoming or continuing full-time undergraduate student at any educational institution for the upcoming academic year. Award recipients will be required to complete 30 hours of service to the Cesar Chavez Foundation within 12 months of award.
