1. The Live Mas Scholarship // Organization: Taco Bell

Deadline: Fall 2019 (TBD) - sign-up for Taco Bell's email list to find out when the application opens.

Taco Bell has given out more than $4.5 million in scholarships in 2019 alone through its Live Mas Scholarship program. The Live Mas scholarship is unique in many ways. Instead of following the traditional route of gauging student success through sports and academics, Taco Bell wants to give out awards to students who have strong creative outputs. To enter, simply submit a 2 minute video that tells Taco Bell what your life’s passion is. Use this opportunity to really ask yourself what things you’re passionate about. Remember, the most important thing is to have fun.

2. Foot Locker Scholarship // Organization: Foot Locker

Deadline: open now - Due January 3, 2020

In 2019, Foot Locker gave out $20,000 to 20 students. That’s $400,000 worth of scholarship money for those who're doing the math. Foot Locker’s scholarship focuses on leadership - whether that’s in the classroom, in your community, or on your sports team. Submit two 500-word essays that demonstrate your leadership abilities, and you can win this big scholarship. Although the ask is pretty big, this scholarship is truly worth it - getting $20,000 toward your tuition is game-changer for students who otherwise have no funding source for school.

3. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship // Organization: Jack Kent Cooke

Deadline: Winter 2019  (TBD) - sign-up for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation's email list to find out  when the application opens.

Coming from a low income family can be hard. That’s why the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship gives up-to $40,000 to each of its scholars. In order to apply for this scholarship, you have to demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. In addition to that, you have to fill out several eligibility questions, submit a few short essays that answer specific prompts, and declare your college plans and intended major. That sounds like a lot, and it is. But $40,000 per year practically covers the tuition of most colleges and it’s entirely worth it.

4. Burger King Foundation Scholarship // Organization: Burger King
