Get Schooled Takes First In Shorty Awards For Social Good
The Major Keys Campaign was created by Get Schooled in partnership with DJ Khaled, Viacom Velocity and the Ad Council
Get Schooled beat out 48 entries to win the 2017 Shorty Award in the Social Good Category for its Major Keys Campaign. The campaign stars DJ Khaled and has reached tens of millions through a PSA campaign and engaged close to a million students through its digital content. The campaign was honored at the star-studded awards ceremony on April 23, in New York City.
The campaign consisted of a mix of creative content, digital badges, social media content, and rewards. Students were encouraged to master the Major Keys of life as they prepared for success in high school, college, and life beyond.
Each badge covers a different topic based on a Major Key from DJ Khaled. They include: Keys to Success, Keys to Communicate, Keys to Identity, Keys to Health, Keys to Money, and Keys to Community, The digital badges were promoted through a series of short videos starring DJ Khaled as well as the national PSA produced by the Ad Council.
