“The struggle of each and every student living in an under-represented community is what motivates me to change high school. “

In my perspective, Hispanic ethnicity means taking pride in your Latin American roots and loving yourself for who you are. To be Hispanic is to be united as one and achieve higher education for our future generations to follow. My experience as a young Hispanic American has been like a flower trying to grow in a desert full of despair. Living in a community where insulting stereotypes are all labeled in the foreheads of my people has motivated me to be a young activist in my community.
