Teá never thought college was attainable. Being one of four kids, she knew her family couldn’t afford it. During her senior year of high school, she ended up applying to college, was accepted, and started the next year. However, after the first semester, she was hit with her first bill, completely unsure on how she was going to pay it. She felt embarrassed, but ended up swallowing her pride and going to her school’s resource center. There she discovered many options available to her to assist with paying for college. Teá realized college isn’t just for the wealthy, but for everyone, anyone who wants to try.
