What can I do with this major?

Last updated February 21, 2020

It's never too early to start thinking about your major (maybe you already have). If you're undecided or unsure about what you want to study in college, we want to help you figure it out. To help you, read: 4 Steps to Choosing Your Major and What To Do When You’re Undecided.

Visit these CSUDH resources to help pick a major and leave a comment below with the major you’re interested in:

  • What Can I Do with this Major? - Provides a listing of majors and related careers
  • Focus 2 Career exploration tool that allows students to take values, skills, and other assessments to learn about their career/major options. It connects directly to CSUDH degrees and the Occupational Outlook Handbook.

First-year Student Fridays - April 10, 17, 24 and May 1, 1-3 pm. This program helps undeclared 1st and 2nd-year students explore career and major options as well as identity development. There will be an application period to sign up. (We’ll update this page when it opens)

Comment the major or majors you're thinking about!

Are You Taking The Right Number Of Credits For You?

Succeeding in college requires time management skills. Taking 12, 15, or 19 credits may look good on paper, but have you factored in your work schedule, or other time commitments?

Get Schooled helps young people get to college, find first jobs, and succeed in both.
