#WeBelongInCollege Webinar | Join Us to Learn More About The Campaign
Last updated February 7, 2020
We are partnering with NCAN on March 4th to share more information on how other partner organizations can support the #WeBelongInCollege Campaign.
#WeBelongInCollege: How students can help each other persist by sharing their stories
In this webinar, we will share information about the upcoming #WeBelongInCollege campaign, explain how it can increase students' sense of belonging in college, and give you the tools you need to enable you and the students you work with to participate.
#WeBelongInCollege is a highly interactive and meaningful social media campaign that encourages students to share a story about a time when they struggled and as a result, questioned if they belonged in college, either while applying to or getting through college. Students will also explain how they managed to persist, in order to help other students who may be facing similar challenges. By sharing their stories on social media using the hashtag #WeBelongInCollege, they will be able to help others understand that even though we all struggle, we all belong in college.
#WeBelongInCollege will launch on March 9th and seeks to create a viral lift that will give hope and a sense of belonging to millions of low-income students across the country. In addition, twenty-five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded for the most inspirational #WeBelongInCollege stories and 1,500 free copies of the film, PERSONAL STATEMENT, which inspired the campaign, will be shared with educators who want to engage their students in the campaign using the free #WeBelongInCollege curriculum.
