5 Ways To Spend Quality Time With Friends And Family

Last updated January 7, 2020

Sometimes (most times) school takes over our time that we neglect our friends and family. Here are 5 ways to make sure you maintain the relationships that matter to you:

Block out time for your friends and family.

Just like you have a schedule for classes and working you need to set designated time with friends and family.

Watch tv shows together.

Plan to study before or after the show and use the tv time to relax and catch up

Plan a vacation or staycation during school breaks.

Check your school's academic calendar for these dates and start planning early.

Reach out to your friends and family through text or a phone call.

Sometimes a simple "How are you?" will get the ball rolling.

Remember birthdays.

Use your planner/phone/post-it to keep track of the dates and try to do something special for that person. It can be as small as sending a text with a fond memory, making a card, or going out.
