Exercising On Campus And Off

Last updated March 26, 2020

Finding the time to exercise can be hard, but worth it. Exercising improves your mental health and increases your body confidence. Here are some great resources as you go on your own fitness journey:

CSUDH has a weight room that you can use and is included with your student tuition and fees. Bring your Toro student ID and make sure to check the hours on their website.

On campus, the Associated Students, Inc organization ( ASI) has fitness classes. Check out their event calendar to see the fitness classes you can take!

You can also search on YouTube for fitness videos to incorporate into your lifestyle. Here are three of the top channels:

Fitness Blender - Short (10 mins) and Long workouts (60 mins) focused on specific areas or full body.

Blogilates - Pilates workouts with the occasional vlog. There are also celebrity inspired videos.

Fausto Murillo - Fitness videos in Spanish.

If you like to use apps, you can check out these:

Map My Fitness ( Android, iOS) - Geared towards runners with a map of different routes in your area to help track your running progress.

Workout Trainer ( Android, iOS) - Free workout routines with video. You can build custom routines tailored to your needs.
