Congratulations to our week 2 Get Schooled Student of the Week winner Tiffany Woloszyn! She was selected from another great group of students. Read our interview with Tiffany!
For Tiffany Woloszyn, doing well in school is necessary to achieve future success. "If you don't get the education you need, you won't be successful in life," she said.
That philosophy motivates her to give her all in every class and keep her grades up each semester. It also motivates her classmates to do their best in school.
"Tiffany is a perfect candidate for student of the week becasue she is a leader and works hard to make Portage High School a better place to attend," said classmate Rachel Stewart.
Rachel nominated Tiffany because "every day she portrayes a positive and optimistic view on life. She is always encouraging me to try new things and work hard in class."
Tiffany understands that hard work pays off. She plans to graduate with the academic diploma before heading to Purdue University to study to be a pediatric oncology nurse!
When she's not studying or in class, Tiffany is active as the captain of the color guard and winter guard, vice president of the jazz choir and a memeber of the student council.
So, who motivates Tiffany to do well in school? Her friends! She gets pep talks from them regularly. If Tiffany could offer any advice to her fellow students it would be to "have an open heart to other people at all times because it never feels good to be an outcast."
That's great advice to live by from this week's Get Schooled Student of the Week. Congratulations again, Tiffany! Both Tiffany and Rachel won an Amazon gift card!
