New York Times Bestselling Author, Tyra Banks, the Get Schooled Foundation and Power 106 held a surprise pep rally with 400 students at the Mary McLeod Bethune Middle School in Los Angeles.

In just three weeks, the Bethune students have raised their attendance 2 percent as part of the Get Schooled Fall Attendance Challenge, a multi-week nationwide competition engaging students, teachers and school communities in an effort to improve attendance rates. Tyra Banks encouraged the students to keep showing up to school and stay focused on the real end prize earning a high school degree and having a successful career.
