Get Schooled has partnered with television's #1 daily music show and top-rated pop culture hub, BET's 106 & Park to present the Annual BET 106 & Park Get Schooled Award. We are recognizing artists, actors and athletes that have demonstrated significant commitment to helping improve education or motivating young people to stay in school and earn that degree!!
The second 106 & Park Get Schooled Award was presented to NBA player Dwight Howard. Although he wasn't live in the studio, Dwight accepted the award via Facetime on behalf of his D12 Foundation. The D12 Foundation works with children’s organizations worldwide in establishing programs that will plant seeds of generosity, support education, encourage leadership, and inspire activity and health in youth.
Dwayne Wade was the first receipient of the106 & Park Get Schooled Award. He accepted the award in front of a live studio audience on behalf of the Wade's World Foundation. You can watch the video here! The Wade's World Foundation hosts summer camps, offers scholarships and grants and gives books and school supplies to schools across the country.
